Hi there. I have mine coming up; what are good questions to ask in order to extract the best information out of the teacher? Is it best to let them speak first or to start asking questions right from the beginning? It's only 10 mins so gotta make it count... Thank you all.

They usually start speaking first IME. If they don't and there's an awkward pause, ask how they feel X is getting on. Think beforehand about any specific concerns you want to ask about.

I always ask parents to voice concerns, ask questions, have chance to discuss what they want to first, nothing worse than the 10 minutes being up and finding that they still have lots of unanswered questions. Really it's about how they are doing, what you can do to help at home.
