7+ entrance exams

my ds1 has just sat his 7+ entrance exam and I'm now doing the big wait to find out if he's got a place.

Does anyone know roughly how long it takes to find out the result? It feels like waiting for 'A' level results all over again.

Obviously I could ring the school and ask, but I feel too chicken . Pathetic I know.

Just wondered if anyone has already been through this and could put me in the picture?

Go on, ring them! I would! DS did an entrance test for a new school and we were told immediately. I would think that all schools have their own ideas about how quickly to tell parents.

Just been looking at the school's website. They've actually put in an events area that they post out offers on 29th Jan. Right I can now definitely get my mind off the subject and sleep better for another 2 weeks!

Phew and I didn't have to ring them!

I feel for you. My DS did his 7+ last year and it was agony waiting. I sought refuge here on mn with other sufferers.

Worst thing is that you have no idea how it went - since when was it ever possible to get sense out of 6/7 year old on how the exam went?
