Boys leave my son's independent school at the end of year 2.
He sat the entrance exam for Eltham and we have just got a letter saying he didn't do as well as expected. Eltham they had talked to my son's current school and have offered him a resit at the beginning of March on the basis, I think, that he may then pass given a period of "consolidation" between now and then.
He sat the Colfe's entrance exam today and is also sitting for Bickley Park.
I have heard that one boy from his school got into Eltham on a resit last year.
I suppose my question is, if he does the resit and passes, how likely is he to be able to keep up with the work at Eltham?
If he does get into one or other of Colfe's and/or Bickley we would need to accept and pay a deposit before the Eltham resit, unless the resit could be brought forward.
Am in a dither. Would be sooo grateful to hear from anyone who has had a smiliar experience or who would like to comment.
