Spellings year two

Dd 6 told me this morning because she had "forgotted" that on friday when she would normally have been in assembly she did a big spelling test with the literacy teacher(just her at that time anyway).
According to dd they weren't the spellings that she does weekly and when I asked how many she said nearly fifty.
So any ideas as to what these spellings might have been and why because I will have to catch the literacy teacher to ask as she isn't dd's class teacher.
I am suspicious or possibly neurotic I suppose because dd is statemented and I worry that LEA want her attainment levels which might then be a reason for them to consider reducing her support as she is ok academically well expected 3's anyway.

Could be a diagnostic spelling test to get a spelling age- usually just fro the class teacher to plot progress, or to see how far haead or behing their chronological age they are .
It has to be remembered that it is just a snapshot of one day and should not be anything to worry about. I have always done these sort of tests routinely with the whol;e class to keep track of ability/progress/concerns. Speak to the class teacher about it. But don't worry.

Thank you I think I am neurotic then. Dd said she had done very good and got a sticker so she was happy and seemed pretty convinced she only got one wrong (quite likely as autism does have it's uses sometimes )

I've just asked ds (Yr2) and he says that he has an extra spelling test to do this week. I'm guessing it's something to do with the list of high frequency words that schools use.
