Year 6 Spelling lists

Would anyone be able to suggest where I can get hold of a Year 5/6 spelling list please. Our school doesn't produce one and I want to practice spellings with dc in preparation for Sats. Many thanks in advance

there are spelling lists on the elevenplusexams.co.uk forum
They are designed for 11+ exams so may be a bit advanced for Year 5.

I don't think there is a set spelling list per year group, individual teachers set ours, the theme may be "th" words, or "ou" words, or those with "ight" in them - in fact, sometimes the children decide their OWN spellings on a given theme!

You need to download a document called "Support for Spellings" from

which gives you all the information you will need!
