I guess all schools are going to be closed tomorrow - what does your work allow you to do?

Having spent quite a lot of time off from work before Christmas with the dcs being ill - I think I am going to be in the postition to have to take tomorrow off with the snow. Is your work sympathetic to this sort of thing?

I can work from home. It's not ideal but doable. I have very little leave left and I have just been asked in a very weighted manner whether I am going to be taking any leave between now and March

I can ususally work at home in emergencies but since I couldn't get into work to get any work to bring home I expect I'll be expected to take leave

I can work from home - in the sense that really my work is computer based alot of the time - but the lack of trust is really depressing about this sort of thing.
Poor you - it makes you feel so guilty about

I work from home anyway but it's a pain when DD is off school because she wont let me have 5 minutes peace!

I really feel for people who have to take time off work/look for childcare in situations like this, I had to do this in my last job (office based) and really resented having to use a days holiday just because of weather!

My school is intending to open tomorrow so perhaps you need to wait and see.

I will either work from home, take a days paid leave or take unpaid leave.

Having the day off and it being over looked is not an option at our firm.

I will walk into work and my lovely friend has agreed to have my 3 girls for me as schools and nursery will be closed.

As my job is classed as fairly essential I need to make every effort to get in. (I'm a practice nurse - no snow days for us!).
