to use for 3 and 4 year olds, as well as me! I'm sure I've got them!

IME none of the products are as effective as normal conditioner! Leave the conditioner in and comb it through the wet hair, in sections, with a nitty gritty comb. Then rinse once you've combed all of the hair.

If you do this every 3rd day then the nits should be gone in a couple of weeks (if not sooner). I'd also recommend using Tea Tree Shampoo and Conditioner and getting a Tea Tree leave-in spray. Nits hate Tea Tree!

Good luck, nits are horrible. They seem to love my DD's hair and she had them on and off for years whilst at Primary School!

If you do decide you want to use products I have used Hedrin and Full Marks solutions on my two DCs and myself to no ill effect.
Hedrin needs to be left on for 8 hours which is a bit of a pain, Full Marks seemed to do the exact same thing but in 15-20 minutes!

After you rinse it off, wash hair and condition as normal then do the whole combing thing. I usually put a DVD on that they like and sit behind them on the sofa to do it before bed. You need to treat again one week later to make sure you kill off any lice that hatched from eggs you missed and then after a few more days combing you should be in the clear.

They're horrid aren't they!! I had them once, makes me itch just thinking about it!
