Sorry, not the most exciting post, but I just do not seem able to find out once and for all what the levels are for reading books. Our school uses colours, son in reception is on "Pink" and there seems to be an A and B grouping within Pink which he is working through.

What comes next?? The two Year 1 children I take on the school run have completely different versions of what comes next after Pink!! According to them they did completely different colours in a completely different order which I can't believe is the case, there must be a standard order of these...

Your help is much appreciated.

our school has books from lots of different schemes grouped under this sequence :
pink
red
yellow
blue
green
orange
turquoise
purple
gold
white
lime green

but the teachers aren't sure what to call the last few ! A discussion with my boys teacher yesterday we agreed the yellowish colour (gold) is going to be called the one after purple (so we both know which one we mean !) and the white is called cream (confusion reigned for all concerned ).
