dd says she wants to learn French - her primary does a bit every now and then but it's very sporadic and extremely basic

One of her friends now lives in France and is bilingual which has inspired her

I don't want to overload her with extra-curricular stuff so would rather not take her to a class after school. Can anyone recommend some good resources I can use at home to do a bit with her every week. I had a look at Muzzy but it's very £££ and I"m not sure we'd get our money's worth out of it

Dd's just turned 7 and is very academically able

We found the Collins French Club quite good (and much cheaper than Muzzy!)

Also, have a look at the BBC website; it is brilliant for languages at all levelshere and primary french.

Amusez-vous bien!

THis Usborne DVD is good: Forst Fun with French

There are sticker books and activity books to accompany it.
