'Famous Explorers'. Googled for a female explorer but there just didn't seem to be enough info on those I found.

So, unless all you brainy types can give me some suggestions, I'm left with Captain Cook...

This sounds promising!

She explored the New World, gave birth there to the first child of European descent, returned to Europe, then walked to Rome to give the Vatican a first-person account of her journeys. And she accomplished all this some 500 years before Columbus made his voyage. ..
