Don't know if anyone can help, but there has been an incident at my son's primary school and I'm not sure if we should leave.Basically he was accused of lying and was punished. He said he wasn't lying and ,I believe him 100%.Anyway,to cut a long story short;I thought I would speak to the head. But,we were just screamed at and,he was shouted at that he was "lying to his mother".I then had real trouble getting him back to school.I still feel appalled about it all,but would it be worse to put him in a new school?

Well, yes we did all that. She did apologise, but then said she felt "backed into a corner" and, that's why she lost it.Absolutely no excuse if you ask me.I am a professional and,if I spoke to someone like that,at the least I would be disciplined.I feel no better for the meeting. My 6 year old was there too and, when I said she was uoset, the Head said "but she wasn't even there"!!!!!My son has been dismissed as lying and, they pretty much made it clear that was the end of that.I was then told if I really feel the relationship can't go back to what it was, then there would be no alternative really(i.e leave).I am trying to put my feelings of disgust to one side and, think of my children's happiness.I asked my son if he could forgive them and,he said no but he probably could get on with it.My daughter said she feels angry. And,the children never got any kind of apology.I still believe he is telling the truth and,you shouldn't be punished for telling the truth!

1dilemma Teacher apologised begrudgingly there and then. She had to because she was caught out. I withdrew dd2 from the lessons. Ended there.
