Actually I'm with you. Sorry to pop your bubble.

Heh heh heh. Me too.

Will that be because we've been there and got the T-shirt already though? Am sure I was AWFUL first time round?

Or am I making assumptions here...

Lol.

Yes, there is a lot of bitching about Reception atm isn't there?

My super happy super confident already 6 y/o ds is really not enjoying the move from Reception to Year 1. He wishes he could go back to Reception .

DidEinsteinsMum · 24/09/2009 00:02

Nope i am a first timer. But the school is sorting ds out lovely it is the perfect school for him. ALthough him peeing in a bush during dinner break was a bit when i found out.

colditz · 24/09/2009 00:03

I think I wasn't awful ON MUMSNET the first time I had to Do Reception, but I suspect I was awful In My Head

bib, reception to yr is really hard, but yr1 to yr 2 has been smooth as anything.

rofl at peeing in a bush. He should get a certificate for initiative...

MollieO · 24/09/2009 00:08

bibbity my ds is the same. He misses the playtime although when he was actually in reception he wanted to do more work! We are two weeks into term and it is getting a little bit easier but not much.

showmethewaytothenextwhiskybar · 24/09/2009 07:36

reception for my lot was fab (mainly because the teacher was brilliant), ds2's year 5 teacher is wonderful, but dd's y2 teacher is pants

amazingly people can have criticisms/worries about their kids at school even when they're not PFBs ....

norksinmywaistband · 24/09/2009 07:48

DD PFB is loving reception.
I wasn't sure about the school and was still on the waiting list to move her to the more desirable school in the area, BUT she has settled well is loving it, the teacher really seems to have the measure of her( had a how are they doing at home/school since they started meeting last night)

Also think it will be a great environment for DS next year, but I think I will actually get more funny then as he has more specific needs and is my baby
