DS due to start school next September. We've been to open days for two schools, both outstanding Ofsted, but are inclined to one.

I have a visit booked tomorrow to be taken round by the head of the one we are favouring, so what questions should I make sure I ask ?

I wouldn't worry so much about the questions as peering into the classrooms, looking at whether the children appear contented and busy, are the corridors full of interesting art work .... but I would ask about turnover. How many of the oldest year group have been there since reception? Tells you a lot about whether pupils and parents are voting with their feet.

Thanks MadBad, all children v happy, lots of great displays, and very low drop out rate. Children almost always start in reception/kindergarten, and then go on to the senior school after. DS loved it
