Reading comprehensions

  • anyone know of any good resources online? I need INTERESTING FUN, comprehensions for Year 5/6, quite able pupils. (Why are so many comprehensions dull as ditchwater?!)

These are online www.woodlands-junior.kent.sch.uk/revision/engindex.html www.pearsonlongman.com/ae/marketing/sfesl/practicereading.html and have American spellings but are ok for a comprehension exercise

Hmm, yes, thanks, had seen those comprehensions on Woodlands site. Still trying to find some Level 4/5 comprehensions that are lively and stimulating - anyone else used anything good?

I used Teachitt a lot with Y6. It's mainly aimed at ks3/4 but there's some good stuff for KS2 also

You are a star, Cornsilk. I hadn't come across this site before - looks fab. Don't know if it covers 11+ material at all, I'm looking for that as well. Thanks for your help.
