DD has just finished reception and wants to continue to read in the holidays (and do the library reading quest). I just wanted advise on what books I should maybe get. We went yesterday and the 'beginner reader' section was quite empty so had to just pick what I could. DD was reading blue/green level books when she finished reception. Some she found easy, some she found harder but not impossible. I know I could just look at them and see what I think would be best, but I wanted to try and get some advise so she enjoys them (she wants 'school' style books as well as her own free choice ones). We got three books out - One was a 'twisters' scheme book which she read last night and found incredibly easy so probably won't get one again unless can see a different level. One of the others is 'green bananas' scheme which looks sort of easy but with lots of pages so will keep her going (I think) and the other is a Dr Seuss one which is a lot longer than her school ones but the words are what she can read.
Anyone give me ideas for what to get next time? Thanks
