Where to get plimsolls that fit narrow feet?

My son needs plimsolls for starting school in September, but he has really quite narrow feet. Any suggestions please for what shops tend to be narrower?

Clarks do width fittings for plimsolls.

Mothercare are narrow and Ladybird (Woolies online)

But they are not cheap - think the last pair I got were about £8 or £9.

Thank you - just had a look at all those online. I hadn't realised you can get velcro plimsolls as well as the old gusset style (don't think velcro was invented when I was at school!) - I suppose the velcro style is a bit more adjustable so better for narrow feet? Or are the gusset ones the narrow ones and the velcro ones have been brought out for chunkier feet?

I would say that DS2 has narrow feet and he wears the velcro ones from Clarks - they are fine.

£9 seems a lot for plimsolls (they only do PE twice a week!) so I think I'll try Mothercare next time I am passing one.

John Lewis do velcro, and they are cheaper.

My son has narrow feet. I have bought his school shoes and plimsolls for indoors today from Start-Rite. They only come in an F fitting though but the velcro meant they could be pulled sufficiently tight to stay on. They were £11 (eek!) but do come with a gym bag to keep them in. The Clarks ones are £9 and only come in an F and G fitting.

velcro ones plus insoles were always ok for dd1 (v narrowo feet)

Tesco ones are much too narrow for my ds - they are 2.99!

IME cheap plimsolls (elastic insert ones) from any old market stall or shoe shop are pretty narrow. We have velcro ones but only because pre school got all sniffy about the child being able to put them on independently.

Marks and Spencer also do the velcro plimsolls - and they're quite cheap. Problem I have is ds is between sizes - one too small the other way too big but if I wait till end of hols won't be able to get them anywhere.

Decathalon have good plimsolls for narrow feet for about 3 pounds.

just got some Value ones in Tesco with velcro across for £1.50 !!! pretty narrow, DS is a D-E fitting so I got the next size too. Bargain!

I couldn't get plimsoles to fit my dd, start rite were still too big, in the end I got her M&S ones which were a little on the short side (no growing room) by Christmas her feet had grown further in length but were no broader - I gave up and sent her to school with trainers and a note to the teacher. Good luck with your search - narrow feet are a bloody nightmare to fit.

My dd's got narrow feet the best ones that fit her are the ones from Brantano and they're only £1.99.
I used to but the stratrite ones until I discovered these!

DD is an E fitting and the Tesco value ones were a good fit, but this was a yr ago. She's currently wearing M&S mary jane style ones, which are less of a good fit, but DD complains her feet get too hot in closed pumpes .
