It goes from 3 - 16 and then 39 and 41
Am I right in thinking if I want age 6 I select '6'

Yes, but a word of warning. I switched from buying Next zipped polos this year to M&S zipped ones and I really don't like them. They shrink if you tumble dry them, even on low, so buy a size up. They also have an irritating bit of the same cotton fabric, a sort of interfacing around the neck which won't sit down when you iron them.

I like the Next ones better - I buy the zipped oned because it means no lost buttons and they are easier to manage. School have never objected.

M&S polo shirts do come up very small and as TEJQ says they shrink aswell.

I have switched to Tesco polo shirts which are a more true size and don't seem to shrink the same.

Get next size up they come up small !
