What is a Reception Class Educator?

I have a letter about DS2's start in reception in September. They are taking more than 30 children as there is a bit of a shortage of primary places here. Later this month I am invited to meet the team for next year. DS2 and his many many little classmates will have a teacher, a classroom assistant and a reception class educator. I understand the first two, but the third?

really? what are the courses our lot go on then?

maybe they get time off to write up their tasks?

I work with two very experience Nursery Nurses who both achieved HLTA status when it was first introduced and had as you say to meet high standards but talking to people on courses and reading posts on various educational sites seems to indicate that standards have been diluted. I was talking to one young woman who had completed a PT level 2 qualification in November and awarded HLTA status 6 months later...
