School thief

Hi,My DD1 takes money into school for snacks (toast,fruit or smoothies) and for the last few weeks she has gone do her bag and found that there was no money.
I just told her to hide it in her bookbag that someone would have to take out and undo to get at the money but it is still going missing.
She also had a load of coppers at the bottom of her bag and they have gone as well.
How do i approach the teacher about this?
I can't really go accusing anyone but her class is tiny (20 children).
Also in the past two of her school jumpers have disapeared and they are labelled.

Just tell her that money has been disappearing from her bag. You won't be accusing anyone - let the teacher sort it out.

We do have an idea who it is as this child was caught doing the same thing in reception and was also responsible for blocking toilets with paper and throwing wet (used) toilet paper on the ceiling (yuck).
But hopefully kids get better

I'd tell the teacher, but also encourage DD to keep track of her stuff and make sure she keeps money on her (in a pocket or something); this happens in all schools and is quite hard to prevent. It will probably get worse as she gets older so she'll need to be vigilant.

Where is the school? Sounds very similar to my neices one....

Tell the teacher that you're concerned, you're not accusing anyone. That's their job.

I too would tell the teacher. How old is your DD? If still fairly young could it go in a small purse which she hands to the teacher until break time?

I have had stuff of ds's (named) go missing in literally minutes of him taking them off very annoying, would be even more mad about money!

I'll tell the teacher money is going missing and try and find out if i can pay up front each week. I just hope its not the same child.
