Tests

Both my dds had tests last week. I have no idea whether they were Sats or not. It's a private school and thought the teacher said the school did Sats but perhaps not? The girls are in years 2 and 4. I've got my older daughter's results (just maths and English) but have no idea how well she has/hasn't done. They're just percentages. Wondered if anyone else's dcs had these tests and could enlighten me. I will, of course, get a report next term but any one who has any experience/knowledge of this would be most appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I don't have all your answers but

  1. Private schools don't have to administer the SATs
  2. SATs happen only in year 2 and year 6, not year 4

Although only year 2 and 6 SATS are reported to parents there are Optional SATS papers which schools can elect to give to children in Years 3, 4 and 5.
However, Optional SATS in Year 4 would be unlikely to give a percentage result, you would be more likely to receive a result of 2B, 2A, 3C, 3B, 3A, 4C
