Just wondering what levels your yr 1 children are at? We are on ORT biff and chip level 8.

I don't think the levels are that important TBH - some children whizz through the levels because they read a lot at home, but still struggle over the same words and don't really "get" the stories; others read less, but better. In the end it's not about levels surely, it's about learning to read and reading for pleasure! Rest assured that the teachers know how well everyone reads, whether they're currently reading a ORT11 book or and ORT3 book!

DS1 is in Reception and the Oxford Reading books are used in his school (along with 2 other reading schemes, PM being one of them).

Frankly, I'm kind of bored with Biff and Chip and wondering how much longer I'll have to read about their adventures. He's on ORT level 9. Please don't tell me I have 2 more years of them!

My DS1 is in Yr1 and on Stage 5 (yellow). According to this chart,(on page 2) its where he should be?
