Independant school, sats

My DD is in yr 1 of an independant school but I dont think they do sats, why is this?

The Y2 and Y6 SATs are not compulsary for private schools. Many schools choose not to do them at all, prefering to use their own methods of assessment and tracking. Those that do do them may do them more informally, and many chose not to publish results.

DD's school doesn't do formal SATs. they have their own assessments which, IMO, are more meaningful and useful for teachers and children.

It was one of the reasons we chose DD's school.
