If you felt unable to approach the school with any concerns and feel ignored would it not be best to move schools?

Ummm... I wouldn't move schools for it per se - but I do try to cultivate school links. This includes chatting to teachers and TAs, going on school trips and chatting with other parents.

I think communication prevents later miscommunication - iyswim. It helps if I understand how the school works - and it helps if they know me well enough to not immediately be defensive about concerns I raise.
