What do you get for a male infant teacher?

I know its weeks away, but....

Well, about 7 weeks fo rme as we are in Scotland. Ds, who is in Primary 2 (year 1, but age 7 now, given the different entry ages up here) has had the most FABULOUS male teacher for the last year. Ds loves him and I am (maybe, totally ridiculously) hoping that he will be reassigned to ds class next year!!!

Anyway ... I always get a present at the end of the year for the children's teachers, and at Christmas. For female teachers, I get a Lush box, bit for Mr C at Christmas this seemed wrong, so it was a big box of choccies!

Any other ideas? I want to get something as Mr C has been a real inspiration for ds and I am seriously impressed with his teaching skills (I am a teacher myself .....). SO? What do you buy for a male infant teacher who has been fab?? Any ideas?

Bottle of whisky? Dd had a male teacher in yr2 and that was right up his street.

Whisky ..... dunno. Mr C is a PE specialist! Might love it, I suppose, given the holidays coming up!

Also have to but for dd1 and dd2 teachers, so £££ an issue!

Get ds to decorate one of those 'paint your own' mugs maybe?

A pen,a tie,pen pencil and ruler set of his favourite footy team,a mug for the staffroom,errrmmmm a keyring a funky mousemat.

Depending on his age, what about a Game/Amazon/HMV voucher?

Or does he have a favourite sport, and you could get him something related to that?

Or a bottle of red wine!

We got our male teachers cinema vouchers they really loved that.

Red wine or cinema vouchers sound good.

Not sure about his fave sport - seems to be into everything (was teaching the class the All Blacks Haka last week!!!!) - used to be a gymnast and has been at the Commonwealth games - can do a standing backflip which makes him mega cool in ds eyes!

Whatever you give write a personal thank you as well saying what you have said on here. Teachers seem to rarely get thanked properly, if he's been great (and he sounds it - LOVE the Haka story ) tell him.
