Primary in Fulham

I live in a different section of Hammersmith and Fulham and I am facing the age-old school dilemna. I have a pretty good idea of the private schools around here, but ratings on the state schools are all over the place. The scores vary as do the tables, but I have heard some pretty terrible things about state and even some state religious schools in Fulham. Does anyone here go to any of the non-private schools in Fulham and have some experiences and opinions about how good they are or are not? I am looking in particular at St John's Walham Green CofE and wanted to get some real honest opinions about the school and the education they provide. Has anyone in any of the Fulham schools gone for state for a few years and then tried to enter the private system at 7, 11 or 13? Any advice or thoughts are much appreciated.

Our daughter has a place at Queens Manor for September, though we will probably have moved to Surrey by then. I have friends with children there and they like it; not sure about the older years, but certainly for younger children.

We did have her down for Fulham Prep, but as we're moving we decided it wasn't worth it.

Thanks so much for that .. it is very difficult trying to sort out what the schools are like. I know all this school stuff is a lot of anxiety. And I have heard a lot about the Brook green and hammersmith state and faith schools but very little about the fulham ones. :-)
