applying for primary schools late

DD2 has suddenly decided, quite definitely, that she wants to try out school, rather than be home educated like her sisters. Problem is the deadline was January for applications. I haven't got a clue where to start with finding her a school! Can anyone help.

you can just phone the schools and enquire if there are spaces firstly.

Oh ok, that sounds easy - how do I find out which would be good schools to start with?
