Greeneggs - a friend who applied on line told me she'd hear two days earlier. I know that happened with junior applications this year.
We are hoping for Balfour but nervous as the increase djunior intake means another 10 or so reception siblings this year (info from school admissions). What about you?

Letter through this morning. DD2 is in our first (and only) choice school. Was worried as it's out of catchment, even though DD1 is there, there have been a big increase in applicants this year and last!

furrycat - no email for me. I really don't recall getting an email when I applied two years ago - I am sure they do all offers via post. Mine comes about noon, but I will be out tomorrow, so will post when I get back

I applied online, but had the option of finding out via email or post. I opted for post as I wanted it in black and white!!

Maybe your friend knows something I don't, or maybe hearing by email is for Jnr school applications only?
Knowing the council as I do, they are painfully alert to any issues of unfairness. Hence my thought that they would want to send out all offers at the same time...

My friend did hear on email - and didn't get any of her choices. Am really nervous now.

Ok, I was wrong about the email! I have just got one (sent at 4.30pm). We have got a place at the school we wanted, which is no great surprise as we have a sibling link, but good for it to be confirmed .

She wanted Patcham and is about a mile away.
Am so nervous now and desperately hoping the letter comes tomorrow to put us out of our misery

Hooray! The letter came today-dd2 is going to our 1st choice.She is very excited,bless her.

Hi furrycat. Hope today is the day for you, that the post is early, and you get the decision you want.
Just thought I would mention that with big schools like B and D, there is some movement in and out - both my children have had new classmates in infants, plus some don't take up offers for various reasons. Hope it doesn't come to that though. Any idea where your nearest school with places would be in worse case scenario?
