hello
we might be moving to the Oxford area - either in Oxford or driving distance to Oxford in the next few months and will be looking to place our 3 children in a primary school (currently year 3 and reception).
Does anyone recommend or not recommend any local Oxfordshire schools.
Any help and guidance would be brilliant.
thank you so much.
Best wishes
C

St Phil and St James and Wolvercote both in North Oxford have very good reputations but are oversubscribed - you have to be within catchment area and even that does not guarantee you a place . . .

St Barnabus north but nearly in the city is good and St Michaels and St Nicholas in the Marston Road area are both nice, I believe . . . These all feed into the well respected Cherwell School

Horspath in South East Oxford has a good reputation, and I think that Bexley in North East Oxford is supposed to be good. These feed into Wheatley Park.

Cassington and Woodstock to the West/North West are nice. (They are only four miles out from the centre, but can take an hour to drive into the city at 8am and feed into secondaries in Eynsham/Woodstock rather than Oxford City - though both very good secondaries.)

Hope that gives you a few starting points . . .
