Teachers - do you bake with your class? Any easy recipe ideas if so?

I have a small group of Yr5/6s to look after this week - doing fun activities etc while most of their classmates are on a residential. They expressed an interest in baking - does anyone have any good recipes for making maybe biscuits or similar that they've tried out at school? Thanks!

Hi Caz, I do baking with 12 year 4 - 6 children every Friday afternoon as part of golden time. Things we have made include; Spag bol (this was definatly the favourite) just get them to chop loads of veg - peppers, onions, mushrooms, tomatoes, garlic. put it all in a big pan with olive oil for a few mins, add chopped tomatoes and quorn mince (we had a few vegi's in the group) add to cooked pasta and its done.
Cus cus (just add boiling water and a veg stock cube and leave for 5 mins while chopping veg)with peppers, red onion, sultanas, apple.
weve also made fajita's, biscuits, jam tarts, lemon merrangue (sp?) chocolate truffles. Can get the recipies from school tomorrow and will try and think of some more. I'm supposed to be doing assignments but keep getting sidetracked
Hope that helps.

You're speaking the queen of sidetracking!

They all sound fab! I'd love the recipes for the sweet stuff - biscuits, jam tarts, truffles if you have time - don't worry if not, thanks!
