I saw you recommending it to someone else and did the 3 trial lessons with DS who is a reluctant reader (it's "boring" apparently). He did all 3 in one sitting and really enjoyed it so I've signed up for the full series. He's on holiday now for 3 weeks so it'll keep him in practise without me having to pin him to the sofa with a reader in my hand. Thanks for the recommendation.

Do you have any recommendations for a reluctant writer?

I too should thank you for recommendation.
Have been working through headsprout with my ds 5 yrs 11 months and its saved him. Started in autumn now on episode 57 dont know what we would have done without it.
Always sit with him to do episodes v good fun to do and maintain the interest.
From this he now has a solid phonics base.
He was starting to be really tuned off to learning before this, partly beacause he wasnt ready, and went to school too early ,but dont get me started on that topic.
Thanks for another great mumsnet tip.
