So we find out on Tuesday/Weds but when did the actual schools find out?

I can't stand this waiting for my DD's primary school place any longer, its driving me nuts! Only 3 days to go!

Anyhow, phoned the school up couple of days ago and spoke to the lovely lady who deals with the reception class intakes. She didn't give too much away, she said she couldn't but when I asked if they were over subscribed this year she said "yes but from much further away than where you live, and we haven't had many siblings to have to give places to this year so that goes in your favour." She was pretty positive about us getting a place, TBH and I'm wondering if at that point she knew we were in or if she was just as clueless as us.

In Leeds we've had the lists for about a month.

I work at a junior school & we don't get told until after the parents get their offers and accept/decline.

This year the offers go out on Monday and the parents have until 20th April to accept, then there's another week or so while they offer the places that have been declined - so we don't get the list of new Year 3s till May.

We got a list from County (for secondary transfer) the day that the letters were sent out (and that online applications were informed).
Some kids, if they were waiting for snail mail, didn't hear for a day or two after that.

Our primary school knew Tuesday. Online applications were emailed Friday, snail mail will get to know Mon/ Tues next week! I think everyone should find out the same day , and i couldn't stand the wait like you, so i emailed LEA Friday and they replied to say my DS has a place! Yes! We are out of catchment sibling. I found out online on Friday that ds had got a place at the school where I work. However, I already knew as the administrator had hinted to me when we got our lists about a month ago.
