2b

2b is what the aim is

Although levels are given for teacher assessment only, now, built up over the year and confirmed using lots of evidence, a small part of which is the test.

The test can be used whenever the teacher likes over the year, to confirm judgement at any stage.

That may well be different from what the average is though.

But an 'average' child should achieve 2b. Agree there is no such thing as an average child, though.

Mathematical average of a cohort would differ from school to school, but expected average is 2b.

Thanks, is there anywhere i can find out what things they should be able to do at 2b ??

This might be helpful for Maths.

This for reading - scroll down to find level 2b.

This for writing.

Depends why you want to know, really. Your child will have been teacher assessed continually (not tested) since September, so their teacher will know where they are already.
