Sun Hill Junior and Infant Schools, Alresford???

Does anyone have any experience of either of these schools? We are considering a move to the area this summer...

I THINK a work colleague of mine sends her DS here- he's in Y3 now.

I will check it's the correct school and get her opinion- watch this space!

My friend says:

"Sun Hill Juniors seems to be good so far. They have had issues in the past with their head being on long term sick and other stuff. ( have never been able to find out what the other stuff is) but have had a new head in for about a year now and she is keen and willing to bring it up to speed. DS (8) is enjoying it and getting on well. They are keen for parents to be involved and that's always a good thing. Not sure what their last ofsted was like, as I don't take much notice of them!"

FWIW I consider my friend's DS to be rather clever- reading out jokes to us from a book when he was 6 with words like 'millions of chameleons' and 'disguise'- and understanding WHY the jokes were funny!

Hi My son has recently started at Sun Hill Juniors, the infants is full though so my younger son has to go to a diff school, which isnt ideal. The head is great and the teachers I have met so far are very welcoming. They have had ofsted in recently who said the school is doing well. They are implementing lots of improvements at the mo. so far so good! Good luck with the move.
