When/How do I find out where DS1 has a place for school in september?

I did the whole application thing in time for the deadline.

Does somebody get in touch with me to tell me where he has a place?

Round here (Surrey), the date for finding out is next Friday(20th). I would assume it is pretty similar elsewehere.

have a look on your lea's website - they should have stated the outcome date in the guidance materials

they should send you a letter - if you applied online they'll send you an email if that's what you requested.
