My ds was a prem June baby due in August. It never occurred to me to delay him starting school as I was guided by his nursery. All I did when he started school was detail the developmental delays he had in order that the school could take account of them. There is a huge gulf between him and the children who were born earlier in the school year but not so big that he can't cope and the teachers do make allowances.

Two premature August babies here.

Ds always fine. Dd went half-time all reception year. School fine with this.

There are things in life that are sent to try us. Being summer-born is a bit of a bummer, but there are many, many worse things to get in a stew about.

Don't worry, not in a stew, but thank you for your stories

Just wanting to see if options might be open so I can start to plan...
