quick poll: when do you find out about a place for your primary schooler?

and are you nervous? it seems to me that different counties vary so much in when they let people know. i find out end Feb and i feel like i am waiting for exam results. so nervous.

We applied October and found out end of Jan (Bristol). We got our first choice luckily, but there are currently 300 Bristol families with no allocated place for reception, which is just terrible. Good luck and fingers crossed for all about to find out. It's a very stressful time!

DD should be ok because is a sibling but am on tenderhooks because find out about ds1's secondary place tomorrow!

march 25th in Kingston - I think we will probably get into our first choice (church school and have church sign off). Also due to have a baby anytime between now and then so its possible I may forget as well (although have written on my calendar to make sure I don't !).

I am Surrey and applied online so according to their website I am supposed to be able to view my offer online from midnight tonight.

However, yesterday when I checked the wesite there was a link as per the one in the email sent out on Thursday:

Please note that the outcome of application XXXXXXX will be available to view online from 27/02/2009 23:59

I tried this yesterday as I wanted to checki it worked and it took me to the same front end sytem that we used to make the application and I was able to login fine with the username and password created when I registerd and used to make my application and I can still do this now (although the result is not there obviously).

However, today the link onthe exact same place on their website has changed and now takes me to a different looking front end called PAN London website - when I follow that link and use the same (and only) username and password I cannot login.

So which one will the result be on I wonder? hmmmm not inspiring confidence Surrey LEA.

I am expecting very bad news (none of 3) but just want to know so I can get on with the appeal.

Good luck everyone - I am quite happy to come on and say as am expecting it to be shit as everything about Surrey LEA and all my dealings with it have been utterly shit up to now.

We apparently hear in April
this is our third child so a) i really should know by now; and b) it should be a foregone conclusion that she'll get in to the same school as her brothers...

@ all the ones who know already - you obv live in more efficient LEA's than we do.
