Reading for year 1

My DS 5yrs6M is an advanced reader in her class, but has now been given the Tracker series (OUP) to read. These are usually used for SEN or struggling readers from year 3 onwards. Does anyone have any experience of this?

No, I'm not familiar with the series. Dd is a strong reader too, in Y1, but she's never had those.

What was she reading before getting these BTW?

i am not sure what you are getting at...is you are asking why she is getting these texts is it because the school don't have enought higher level texts? why nit go and ask then?
