Mr Bump? I saw a boy in my school all dressed in blue with a false belly and lots of bandages.

Mr Men costumes must be the hardest ones to make. Are you sure there's nothing easier?

christywhisty · 29/01/2009 17:07

I saw someone as Mr Strong (I think)

A cardboard box painted red with red long sleeve top and tights and a green hat.

GossipMonger · 29/01/2009 17:13

I agree with you MrsM. This is from the school so it is not just any character from a book!

I think it is going to have to be painted boxes - how uncomfortable though.

I agree with Rach. My DH dressed as Mr Bump for World Book Day a couple of years ago. He wore blue joggers and a jumper and wrapped bandages around himself. Looked pretty good and was quite comfortable.

Wear yu clothes back to front and go as mrsTopsy Turvey?

Wear all yello w and paint face yellow with Big smile for Mr Cheerful?

GossipMonger · 30/01/2009 13:45

Well DS1 wants to go as Mr Funny which is fine as he can wear a funny hat and have a joke book etc

DS2 wants to go as Mr Tickle so I have to think of how I can make it.

Mr Topsy Turvey is a great idea Molly.

I've done Mr Strong. DS didn't wear the box all day, though, even though he looked very cute.

stephla · 30/01/2009 19:18

Mr Tickle is tricky, I would try this.

Buy cheapo oversized orange polo neck . (Peacocks have them for £4)

Make slit under arms for your daughters real arms. Paint black smile etc. on polo neck.

Stuff polo neck arms with old tights, attach orange rubber gloves (also stuffed with tights)

Combine with blue tupperwear bowl for hat?

GossipMonger · 30/01/2009 23:54

ooh stephla - sounds good!

wot bout me?

ds1 doesnt like me in blue apparantly! so anything else is fine!
