Filling in an application form for our preferred choice for DD's primary school. She's not in the catchment area, and it's hugely over subscribed. She hasn't much chance, but we want to give it a shot.
If it's ANY use, our next door neighbours two boys both go to our preferred school, but the eldest managed a mid-year transfer, and then the youngest was offered a place once on became avail.
The wording on the form is (their bold type):
Please use the column on the right only if you wish to give reasons for your preference for any school. If there are exceptional medical or social reasons why your child should attend a particular school, you must provide professionally supported evidence from a hospital consultant or a social worker (not your GP) with this application form.
I'm trying to work out whether they want to hear anything other than the medical and social reasons (we have none). And if so, what possible reason could we put other than they are obviously the best state school in the area?
Any insight or help from those who know the system, or have been through it, would be HUGELY appreciated. TIA.
