Mums in a fight!

Was speaking to another mum at the school whilst waiting for my DD1 to come out of school when there was a bit of shouting and a child (4yr old) was crying.
It seems the other mum did something to the child (did not see it).
But what a fight! Never heard so much screaming and shouts of "How dare you touch my child".
The rest of us just managed to get our children past them and legged it to the cars.
The headmistress came out and called the fighting women into her office.
But some kids were upset about it and i don't blame them.
Suppose we'll find out the full story next week, at least they have the weekend to calm down or stew over it.

Oh dear.

Speaking as someone with a very short fuse, I always dread getting drawn into some sort of humiliating school-gates-related fishwifery (have come very close once or twice).

Bet they'll be shame faced tomorrow.

not to do with the thread on here about the mum 'ticking off another child' i hope!

there was a big argument at a mums night out before christmas - complete - with i'm 'going to f'ing have it out with her and storming off to the loos' - and these are all nice middle class mummies! unfortunately i was ill and missed all the drama.

I once ended up having to intervene between two mums in ds1's Year2 class - not a nice situation at all!

We had this at after our Christmas Fayre. A TA and the PTA secretary went mental on me and 2 other volunteer mums!

It was so embarrassing as it was completely out of the blue, there were other teachers and parents present

We walked out without shouting back but it took a lot of restraint

Agree that it's out of order in front of children, the secretary had her DC with her

2 mums got done fro breach of the peace at DS1's school! They had one big ol' cat fight. Honestly, what kind of example does that set?

Just don't understand why people do this!
