Easy mistake for a teacher to make, or not?

Dd1 came out of school crying today. She is in Yr 3 and always very well behaved.

Her French teacher had got extremely angry with her because she thought dd1 had made a disrespectful comment to her. In actual fact it had been a boy who sits next to dd1, and who is the "class clown". The teacher would not believe dd1 when she said it hadn't been her until the boy admitted as much in the end.

Not sure how to react to this, if at all?

IMv.limitedE this is easily done. Try to teach your DD to shrug it off. (I have never gained this skill and wish I could have it)

It's not always easy in that sort of situation to iknow who it is, and at least the boy owned up. I wld do as mrsgboring said n shrug it off
