The Independent Review of the Primary Curriculum has devised a survey for parents and would like your views. If you have a child in a state primary school, and would like the chance to win £250 of vouchers for SpaceNK, Boden or The White Company, please fill it in now.

Can we have a competition for private-school parents? Please?

We need all the freebies we can get...

bump

(Don't state school parents shun Boden and the White Company - not to mention SpaceNK - as being too 'exclusive'? After all, not everyone can afford them).

Though as I say, maybe private school parents are the only ones who can't afford Boden!

Ok - I'm going to rise to the bait....

I have never seen pasionately beleiving in state schooling and liking things like the White Company, Space NK etc as mutually exclusive. I don't know anyone who does.

Our ds' state primary school has families that range from real poverty to those that take their children out to go skiing () (my excuse is that in Scotland we only get 3 days for half term - and the school is happy with it)

happywomble · 15/01/2009 22:28

yes plenty of people at my DCs state school wear boden, go skiing, a few own million pound houses. They choose the school as it is a good school, and there is no need to go private. There are others at the school who are much less well off and probably some who haven't even heard of Boden.

Dottoressa you seem to have a strange perception of people who send their children to state schools .

No - I am just grumpy at always getting flak for apparently being a 4x4-driving, Botoxed, pampered, spoilt, WAG-type for having children at private schools!!

Please don't take me too seriously...

threestars · 15/01/2009 23:12

Oh I think i filled it in wrongly. But then again, I think now it's more likely someone just using my email address.
hotdamn why am i so stupid?! What do Mumsnet Towers think?? Is this bonafide?

wrongsideof40 · 16/01/2009 00:26

I agree with Libra - this is for those in ENGLAND - I am not at all anti-english but this annoys me , why waste my time with irrelevant stuff ! ?..

The last two q's needed a similar structure to the previous ones, ie a sliding scale of v important to not at all important.

For EACH point. I was looking forward to rubbishing the Sats with a '0'. Oh well..

Agree with everyone else on Qs 5 and 6. But also Q1: how much is your child stimulated etc by school? Well, I've got two children at school, they are stimulated to different amounts. They never thought of this possibility?!
