Hello to all! I'm new to this website but am so impressed by what I've seen so far. My husband and I are moving from South Africa with our three little girls (7, 5 and 3) to Guildford this year. I have been researching schools and have been reassured by what I've read. We are looking at moving to Merrow or Burpham are but are open to any area around Guildford that has good schools. Any suggestions? The school situation is the most stressful for me especially since I'm a psychologist and know how important finding the right school is especially to help the girls adjust.

Hi Psychomom and welcome to Mumsnet. I'm sure there will be some helpful people along in a minute.

I just wanted to let you know that there is already a long standing and fairly prolific poster with a name very, very similar yours. You might want to think about changing yours to something you can really make your own, and avoid confusion.

Your thread is also missing a title, so you might get more response if you try again, with a title with the words "Schools in Guildford" in the title.

Good luck with your move.

welcome to MN, but could I possibly ask you to have a rethink on your name.

littlefish is right......I am pretty prolific (so I have been told at least), and have been here since 2005 (......thats gone quick!), and you might end up being confused with me, me with you, and also.......I often have issues with certain stuff you really won;t want to get confused with.

good luck with the moving tho.

oh, and I have three DD's too

kim1601 · 11/01/2009 12:11

Sorry about that, name changed to Kim1601. Hope there's no one with a similar nickname... Now to figure out how to add message title......

psychomum5 · 11/01/2009 12:24

oh, tis ok......nothing to be sorry for per-se, more that it causes confusion when there are similar names.

there is a kimi aboit here too tho, so sorry, yes, kim might also be confusing.

as for trying to add a thread title, you can;t once a thread is started, but you can always start a whole sparkly new thread.

as for names.......is there anything that you like to do, hobby wise, that you could use for inspiration??
