What can I do?

DS1 (7yrs) has trouble writing. He writes too quick so it isn't neat but also is struggling with the joined up writing he HAS to do. What can I do to make it enjoyable even though it is homework? He wouldn't choose to write. He is crying atm.

an obvious question, but have you spoken to his teacher about it? DS wrote too quickly, his mind was ahead of his writing. His writing is still scruffy at 15 but he's doing well at school. DS (and others) had some extra help with handwriting in school, not sure if all schools offer this tho.

She said his writing was getting better and she does encourage him but he has to write joined up. Marks at the end of the year apparently. Teacher thought had some motor skills problems .

maybe repost with something like "calling primary teachers: help with handwriting needed"?? Might get you some expert help on here more quickly? Just a thought. Know you'll be worried about it but not qualified to suggest anything else. Good luck
