Yes. White polo shirts. BTW a new parent asked us (the PTA) if we would lobby to change this to a coloured shirt, after discussion between ourselves we said no (though the parent was free to take it up with the school instead).
Our reasoning was that though they might get stained etc more easily/quickly, because they are so cheap to begin with (£3 for 3 from Tescos) it was cheaper to replace the white ones more frequently.
Our school does have logoed polo shirts but because they are £8.95 EACH nobody buys them.

Red polo shirt is offered as alternative to white one, both can be obtained with logo.
It was a parent who led the "revolt" about four or five years ago so good luck.

SparklyBaubleFeast · 10/12/2008 22:17

SparklyBaubleFeast · 10/12/2008 22:18

UnfortunatelyMe · 10/12/2008 22:21

cory · 10/12/2008 22:26

white shirts in infants
(for the whole uniform, not just PE)

blue in juniors

thatwasfun · 10/12/2008 22:31

Yes, white shirt or polo shirt.

Went to see the carol concert today. I swear every single "white" shirt was grey. I thought that only happened in my laundry!

pollywobbledoodle · 10/12/2008 22:41

white(ish) shirts here too

designergirl · 10/12/2008 23:15

White blouses or white polo shirt. I now send dd1 to school in short sleeved ones (with a cardigan/jumper) as getting the felt tip pen/ paint etc stains off the cuffs was a nightmare.

Ponders · 10/12/2008 23:18

Yes - white school shirt & white polo for games.

Tinker · 10/12/2008 23:36

Yes

Tinker · 10/12/2008 23:37

But can opt for blue shirts instead (which I and eldest prefer)

Madsometimes · 11/12/2008 10:52

Yes. When I buy new blouses and compare them to the old ones, I cannot help but notice that once they have been going through my washing machine for a year, they are not longer white but grey
