Could someone tell me what sort of maths your dc are doing in year 6? I'm trying to compare what my ds is doing at his school abroad to se eif he'll be up to standard if we get to move back in September.

Up to now ds hasn't done any fractions, algebra and only very basic geometry.

DD is doing fractions and has done angles and basic geometry. don't think they've done any algebra.

Think I should be doing some extra work then, thanks. Are the books your dd uses on amazon by any chance?

she's got a couple of revision guide type books a bit like these

actually these ones

they start basic then get harder as you work through the. we haven't done a huge amount because it is such a battle to get her to do anything.

Tell me about it! Poor ds had to sit most of Sunday afternoon doing German and learning English spellings. He wants to come back to UK too but he knows the spelling are going to be hardest for him and now I know he'll hav eto catch up in maths too.

Thanks for the links soupdragon.
