Hi

My ds is in Year 1 and they are wearing traditional Indian dress on Friday as part of their Hinduism topic.

Any idea how I can knock something up quickly?

Thanks

where do you live?

could you nip to an indian shop and tell them what you need?

They are quite inexpensive I think.

or borrow one from an indian friend?

I once went to a fancy dress party in a sari and I won!!!!

Thanks. I live in Salisbury which is a problem as we don't have anywhere like that here. Anyone know of any websites?

year one is an annoying time to do it. my dc school always do it in year six , and for years i have dontated my old stuff to them, most year six girls can get into adultish size clothes with only a bit of fixing. nowadays, half the school appears to bewearingmy old wardrobe.

Hi, I might have an outfit you could borrow/have

Cat me : - )

If you can get big length of material and can do hemming to make the underskirt you could do this.

Do you have a large scarf in silk or chiffon? Could make a sort of sari with matching t shirt and leggings underneath? Bit cold for Indian dress IMO (and I am Indian!)

loin cloth.

littleducks · 04/11/2008 19:54

ds? that is harder

skramble · 05/11/2008 00:28

Doh didn't see it was DS, don't think he would want a Sari somehow

littleducks · 05/11/2008 19:59
