I need a few ideas for a project for my friend's 7 year old daughter.
She is HE and doing very well. I wanted to give her a project to complete over a few weeks, something she could research by going to the library, using the net etc.. i thought i'd give her a choice of 3 projects and she'd choose the one that interested her the most.
Any ideas please?

Dd1 likes looking at a country - she liked india and France best.

She is also interested in religions, think form doing India.

DD is 8, and for her homework this half term she has been doing a project on India. She found it really interesting, especially some of their customs and the clothes that they wear.

How about planning a trip?

She could research where she would like to go, how she would get there, climate (does she like hot/cold countries?) What's to see when she's there. What clothes she would need, what would keep her warm/cool?

Design a new bedroom.

Let her look at her room and she how she could redecorate it. Measuring (standard + non-standard measurements, all depends where she is), looking at colours using colour charts, mixing colours. Design a mural, look on line at murals, go to a gallery to find pictures for the walls. Work out storage, go to B@Q/Homebase to look at ideas.
If she's ahead and understands money why not give her a budget to work from?

What does she like? Could she do a project based around that?

Some great ideas, thank you.
She likes monkeys
I think i'll give her a choice of countries, sounds good.
The decorating room sounds great, but she is sharing a room and her parents are students in student acc, so maybe leave that one until they have their own place.
Thanks ladies.
