Just so I don't make a complete idiot of myself tonight at parent's evening, could someone please explain CAT & KS2 profiles to me

Have just been told by another parent that results of something came home recently and have just found them tucked behind something. I've never taken any notice of what the tests are so could do with a bit of help interpreting them.

First thing is can anyone give me an example of the type of thing they are asked to do in the Quantitative Reasoning section of the CATS test? I think I get the rest but this one she is nearly off the scale at the bottom.

They've also done an estimate of indicated KS2 levels. Is this the SATS they do in Year 6 ? If so, they have put that she is predicted 5C for English, 4C for maths and 4B for Science. Doesn't mean a lot to me, can anyone shed any light on that ?

She has dyspraxia so I think I had better appear try to look as if I know what all this means, so any help on this would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks

Why don't you ask the teacher to explain?

(PS KS2 levels good )

Quantitive Reasoning is, I think, things like

If there were 20 pieces of fruit in a bag , including 4 oranges, 6 pears , how many apples were there ?

Tom is 2 years older than his sister Frances and 5 Years younger than David . How old is David when Frances is 11 ?

Level 4 is the standard target for Key Stage 2. So 5 C = well above, the others are on target. All good. No idea about CATS tests.

There's a lot to cover with DD UmWah due to her dyspraxia, so I find I need to know what I'm on about before I go in or the poor teacher is there for ever !

Thank you all for your help, have got it now I think. Apart from her Quantitative it all seems pretty encouraging which is lovely as we've certainly had our ups and downs over the last few years.

That's fair enough, sorry, didn't mean to be dismissive. Think it's silly that they sent results home without any explanation of what they actually mean...
