What should I do to show the teacher how sorry/embarrassed I am?

DS1 was very scared and sad about going into school on his 2nd day she took him gently by thehand to encourage him in to the class room and he kicked off literally kicking her in the legs and stomach.

within minutes he was calm again and I apologised lots
I don't know if it would be appropriate to do anything further?

What do you think?

you apologised lots, that's fine - leave it (unless he makes a habit of it in which case it needs addressing).

Believe me, there are plenty of parents who wouldn't even apologise. Some would even try to blame it on the teacher.
So well done for being contrite. That goes a long way in my book (as a teacher!)
